ABOUT US
Our 100% organic hand processed Canapa Fields products are located at an impressive 1150m above sea level on the slopes of Mount Cimone in the beautiful Modena Apennines. Our farm, Ca' Lodovico, is situated in the mountain hamlet of Canevare di Fanano, which derives its name from the original 'Canvár'. In the Emilian dialect 'canva' means 'hemp', as hemp has been grown and processed in this area for its fibres and other derivatives since the Middle Ages.
We are surrounded by beautiful chestnut, fir, and beech forests, as well as wild flora.
The high temperature range increases the production of resin, terpenes, and cannabinoids, making the colours and scents extra special.
Our cultivation process takes place in naturally fertile soil that has been used as pasture for centuries. We use only uncontaminated, 100% organic spring water to water our plants.
Our buds are dried slowly at controlled humidity and temperature, and are cleaned very patiently by hand. All our buds go through a tanning period of 1 to 3 months to obtain the maximum aroma.
